What Will Your Readers See on Your Website?  FlagCounter gives three options to show your readers: a Top Countries counter, a Flag Map counter and a Mini Counter.  You can customize the counters size, format, colors and information shown.  The Mini Counter provides the smallest and inconspicuous counter.   I use the Top Countries counter with Life & Bits.

Cool Stats Widgets Series – Histats Counters & Real Time Stats

Histats Real Time Stats

Cool Stats Widgets Series – Histats Counters – One of the Coolest Free Full Service Real Time Stats

About the Widget.  I stumbled across Histats on one of my readers website.  This service offers a lot of counters to include in your blog and the most complete free real-time stats page.  As many web analytic services the best counters require JavaScript codes.  Nevertheless, there are a number of excellent counters from this site that will work on WordPress.com.  The site provides non-java code for every counter, however not all of them will work on WordPress.com since they include embedded code that is automatically eliminated by WordPress.com.  The information below lets you know which counters can be used on your WordPress.com blog.  I find the greatest advantage of Histats are all the cool stats and graphics available to you about your blog and your readers.

Blog With Integrity:  Life & Bits have no commercial or other relationship with Histats.

What Will Your Readers See on Your Website?  In order for Histats to gather information of your visitors, you need to install a non-java HTML code in your blog.  This code contains the tag needed to identify your site.  What your readers see will depend on your counter choice.  Histats also gives you the option to install the tracking code with your tag without any counter showing.  That means your readers don’t see anything else on your site, but they get tracked by Histats.  I selected the online visitor counter shown here.

How Do I Install This Widget on WordPress.com? Installing the Histats Counter widget on your site is simple.  First, get the HTML code from their site.  Second, install the code on your blog.  And, you are done.  Please follow the instructions below.
